MY PROCESS
After more than a decade of creating beautiful heirlooms for busy families, I’ve established my process to ensure I am able to create authentic images that are a true representation of your family and the love you have for each other. My goal has always been to give my clients a fun, stress-free experience that results in gorgeous artwork you’ll be proud to pass down to your children. Walking you through each step of my process helps me deliver the exceptional experience I’m known for. I only accept a limited number of maternity, newborn, baby and family sessions each month so that I am able to properly invest the necessary amount of time on each one. I’m honored to be on this journey with you!
step 1. REQUEST PRICING / DISCOVERY CALL
I’m a big fan of being totally transparent and making sure you have all the information about working with me up front. Once you inquire, I’ll send you my full pricing information and before you book your session, I’m happy to offer a quick discovery call so we can begin to get to know each other and ensure we are a good fit. I know everyone doesn’t love talking on the phone but it really is a great way to make sure you are hiring the right photographer for your family and is much faster than sending a bunch of emails back and forth. This is a great time to confirm my availability and the date and time options for your session before you book as well.
To reserve the date for your session, a non-refundable creative fee or collective membership will be invoiced so that I can begin the planning process and reserve your time with the studio.
step 2. PLANNING & STYLE GUIDE / CONSULTATION
Once you are booked, I’ll send you over my portrait planning and style guide along with a link to view my current Client Wardrobe offerings. Then we’ll have a planning consultation (over the phone or Zoom) where we can really get to know each other and create the foundation for how I bring my vision for your portraits to life. I will go over the plan for the day of your session and guide you through wardrobe and styling. If you’ve chosen to hire any of my stylists (personal wardrobe stylist, hair stylist or makeup artist), they will be working with us to make sure we pull everything together seamlessly for your entire family.
step 3. PORTRAIT SESSION
The day of your session is here! Sessions are truly fun and a wonderful time to focus on the love you have for your family. You’ll be relaxed and dressed beautifully so it’s a great excuse to plan ahead for a special meal or treat out with your loved ones after we’re done!
step 4. DESIGN PROCESS
After your session, I get to begin one of my favorite steps - the design process. I individually edit each of your photographs and then design albums, custom collage prints and gallery walls for your home and office to help you decide how you’d like to enjoy the beautiful art we’ve created.
step 5. VIEWING & ORDERING ARTWORK
About 2-3 weeks after your session takes place, your art will be ready for viewing & ordering through your private online gallery. Instant digital downloads will be available for purchase at this time. You will be able to view all of your finished images along with the custom curated artwork that I have designed just for you. Once you purchase the digital collection of your choice, your gallery will remain live for 1 month so that you can download your images, spend the gift credit that comes with every digital collection and order any additional products and gifts that you’d like. All of my printed products are hand made with love here in the United States and have varying arrival times of between 1-6 weeks.
